| Sitting out at Marshall for the 2007-08 season after transferring from Purdue University. In two seasons with Boilermakers, Lutz (L-uh-zt) averaged 7.5 points and almost two assists per game in 62 games with 34 starts. Shot 40 percent from three, but was 58-123 last seasons (47.2 percent), which led the Big Ten. He was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman team in 2005-06, averaging 9.2 points per game. Lutz played one season at Brewster Academy Prep after playing at Trinity H.S., and averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists at Brewster. He averaged 20 points, five rebounds and five assists per game at Trinity, where he was a three-time all-state selection, an nominee for the McDonald's All-American game and is the all-time leading scorer at Trinity with 1,600 points. |
