Brown Interested in Marshall

Stephon Brown decided to visit Marshall University this past weekend. Brown arrived on campus this weekend to meet with Doc Holliday and his staff, how did his visit go?

Marshall vs URI WrapUp

Ten Months ago, Marshall fans, staff, and players assumed that their next home game would be just one week later for the CUSA championship against Rice. However, due to some number crunching, and rules interpretations that still to this day leave people scratching their heads, that did not happen. Marshall finally got to play that next home game this past Saturday against Rhode Island.

Week One Recap

Marshall stormed out to an early 28 to 3 halftime lead behind an excellent first half performance from Rakeem Cato, and Devon Johnson. Miami of Ohio came out at halftime with 17 points to pull to within eight, before the Herd scored to set the final score at 42 to 27.

Grimes Set to Visit Marshall

Marshall is set to take on the Rhode Island Rams this weekend in the home opener. Kick off is slated for 7pm at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. While the Herd takes on the Rams, the staff will also be visited by four highly touted prospects.

Visitors for Home Opener

Marshall will welcome three official visitors to campus this weekend. There could be a fourth official visitor, but as of now, that has not been confirmed.

Cornerback Set to Visit

The Marshall coaching staff does more than just prepare for football games, they have to constantly be looking at the program and the future of the program as well.

Projected Depth Chart

The first two weeks of camp have come and gone. Marshall is expected to have one of its best seasons in school history. The fact that there hasn’t been a whole lot of noticeable movement on the depth chart should indicate how solid the team is. Today, I am going to take a stab at what I think the depth chart will be when it is released in the coming days or week.

15 Days And Counting

Two weeks from today, across the country, fans will be prepping for their first tailgate of the season the following morning. That’s right football fans, fifteen days remain until most of the country tees it up and begins play for the 2014 season.

The Countdown Continues

The Dog days of summer have been upon us for the last two weeks, but finally, last Monday, football fans across the country were able to get their first look at real live football. No longer did fans have to talk about who might show up on their campus, or who may not show up on their campus, finally they got to see it with their own eyes. That happened at Marshall last Monday as well.

Weekly Thundering Herd Recap

A week ago today, the 2014 version of the Marshall Thundering Herd hit the field to begin practice in what should be its most successful season in over a decade. Not since 1999, has Marshall entered a year with a legitimate chance to run the table. The newcomers and younger players began in the morning session with, veterans and returning depth chart guys hitting the field in the afternoon.

Marshall Gets Late Commitment

Commitments can come at any time to football programs across the country. Typically a commitment that comes in the last week of July is for the following years class. That is not the case with a commitment that the Thundering Herd picked up late last week.
