All the bowl game action starts with the New Mexico Bowl on December 20, 2008, on ESPN 930 AM and ends with all BCS Bowls: Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta and the BCS National Championship Game on January 8, 2009.
Local fans can follow their teams via the radio, including the Big East's West Virginia Mountaineers (8-4) facing the Tar Heels of North Carolina (also 8-4) of the Atlantic Coast Conference at the Meineke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. on Dec. 27. The SEC's Kentucky Wildcats (6-6) will face the Conference USA champion Pirates of East Carolina (9-4) in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2; and the Big Ten's Ohio State (11-1) Buckeyes will play the Big 12's Texas (10-2) Longhorns in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 5.
The No. 1 team in the land, the Big 12's champs, the Oklahoma (12-1) Sooners, and the No. 2-ranked team and SEC champs, the Florida (12-1) Gators, will meet on Jan. 8 in the BCS National Championship game at 8 p.m., right after the Marshall Coach Donnie Jones' Call-In Show from Gino’s Pub in Huntington that same evening (7:05 p.m. until 8 p.m.).
