Former Marshall linebacker Max Yates wants to get you into football player shape. Really. Here's your chance. Yates will be holding conditioning workouts at the Huntington YMCA this fall, and you can let him whip you into the kind of shape only a linebacker would love.

"The Huntington community gave so much to me during my playing career at Marshall," Yates said in a press release issued Wednesday. "This is my chance to give a little something back."

Scheduled for twice-a-week workouts over a three week period, the high-intensity conditioning classes will last three grueling hours each. Personal attention is guaranteed with each class limited to only 8 participants. You won't be able to hide from Yates, it appears. Classes are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6:30pm or 6:30-8pm. Sessions will also be available Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same time.

Linebacker wannabes can call the Huntington YMCA at (304) 697-7113 to register for the $50 classes.

Yates was the MAC's Defensive Player of the Year in 2001, and made it through NFL training camp with the Minnesota Vikings before being cut on the final day.
