Florida Linebacker Commits

Marshall has completed the first third of its season, and recently spent their first off week preparing for the upcoming homecoming game against UTSA. The coaches spent the first few days of the off week on the recruiting trail.

Those few days have brought the Herd another addition to the 2014 commitment class. Francisco Hernandez, a 6'2, 203 pound linebacker/safety from Largo, Florida recently committed to the Thundering Herd.

Hernandez is a three star recruit by Scout.com, and the 54th rated linebacker.

Hernandez's lead recruiter with the Herd is Adam Fuller. Back in August, Hernandez listed his final four as Marshall, Indiana, Kentucky and USF. He had previously committed to USF, but opened his recruitment back up.

Hernandez is working to become eligible as are most high school prospects this time of the year. The Herd will be losing a few linebackers over the next two years, most notably Jermaine Holmes who is a true junior at this time. Neville Hewitt, Derek Mitchell, Deon Meadows and Cortez Carter will also be exhausting their eligibility within the next two seasons.
